From Sofia Airport
If you arrive by air, the simplest public-transport logic is airport → Sofia's central transport area → Blagoevgrad. Sofia Airport metro station is next to Terminal 2. To reach the Central Railway Station and Central Bus Station, use the metro and the required transfer according to the current network map.
If you land late, carry a lot of luggage or travel as a group, a car or transfer may be more convenient. We avoid quoting a fixed airport driving time because Sofia traffic can make a substantial difference.
